Summary of the role

The primary role of the Senior Manager, Information Systems - SAP Sales and CRM is to manage resources, processes, projects, stakeholders. The role will also have functional ownership of the Sales area in SAP as well as the CRM functions (C4C/CPQ).
The Senior Manager, Information Systems works under the direction of the SAP COE Director. Works to understand client business functions and requirements, to expertly evaluate existing, new, and emerging technology and / or applications, which may provide solutions for the requirements and to provide expert leadership and assistance in implementing the solution to the client's satisfaction. The candidate understands the Nordson organizations and locations while keeping up to date on new business development.

Role and Responsibilities

Managing resources includes;
Establishing stretch performance objectives and evaluating team members against the objectives
Assisting team members in their career development
Effective communication with team to exchange information, issues, project statuses, improvement opportunities, etc.
Administrative tasks such as expense reports, vacation request, etc.
May manage resources in other countries
Manage skill development of team members
May manage third party contractors
Managing projects and IS delivery includes;
Support and oversight of all projects
Provide expert functional knowledge
Ensure the project management system is timely and consistently updated to reflect project statuses
Responsible for the assignment of projects, project tasks, support desk tickets within functional area
Ensure integration with other functional areas and work well with other teams
Functional Ownership means:
Ensuring a baseline is established for the functional area
Is self driven to have current knowledge of SAP innovations
Have an understanding of the capabilities of SAP's tools and knowledge what the software can and cannot do
Drive implementation of standard processes while meeting customer needs
Have a mindset of continuous improvement and simplification when designing, reviewing, and approving solution approaches
Assist IS leadership in development and execution of an SAP roadmap
The candidate must have an expert understanding of the functional or technical area assigned and a good understanding of the interrelationships with other functional areas, and strive to keep current on new technology development.
Have a good understanding of the processes before and after the area of expertise with a great cross functional understanding
Prepare and present regular status reports and dashboards to executive leadership, providing insights into project status, risks & issues, trends, and identified opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business needs, priorities, and expectations. Support development of business cases and project charters.
Ensure strategic alignment through prioritization, resource capacity management, key result tracking and program management to achieve strategic vision.

Skills and Qualifications

Experience in the sales module in SAP ECC and S4P, and SAP C4C is a must.
Was part of at least one successful SAP S4 implementation.
A Bachelor Degree in Information Science, Finance, Math, Engineering or other technical / business field is required.
Minimum of 10-12 years of Information Systems experience with 8 years business applications experience required or the demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a leadership role
Project management skills are required.

Travel

Less than 25%.
