Position Description
We are looking for a Senior Manager Global Life Sciences Sales controlling to join our team in Hilden or in Germantown. You will act as a business partner to Head of Global Life Sciences Sales and Head of Sales Regions with entrepreneurial attitude being co-responsible for business decisions. Help present insights and findings in meetings with C-suite executives, assist in the creation of business cases for new investment opportunities, help define and enforce CRM standards, etc.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide commercial guidance for the development of QIAGEN
- Act as a business partner for Head of Global Life Sciences Sales and/ Head of LS Sales Regions
- Revenue and cost budget planning (short to long term)
- Revenue and cost controlling, business intelligence development
- Support and implement profitability steering
- Coordinating and analyzing the monthly expense and revenue forecast
- Tender, quote and contract calculation and Controlling
- Commission handling
- Risk Management
- Translating market opportunities into actionable recommendations.
- Assistance in month- and year-end closing activities; including audit procedures and providing information to the external auditors
- As the leader of your team, you will be responsible for the personnel development of your team in addition to further develop the content of your team.
Position Requirements
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent education; at least 4-6 years of experience in (Sales) Controlling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build strong relationships with different business partners on all levels in English and German
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with the right level of teamwork to connect with peers
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail, accountability and innovative as well as proactive thinking
- Flexible attitude and the ability to work under pressure and to achieve deadlines
- Microsoft Excel mastery is an absolute must have (VBA, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Knowledge of SAP BW/Analysis for Excel, Salesforce.com and proficiency in PowerPoint
- International experience would be a plus
