Job Description:
The Regional Sales Manager position is responsible for leading the growth of the three channels in Germany focusing on Data Centre and partner development.
Channels:
- WEBCRLT® for independent dealers (VAR)
- i-Vu Carrier Controls exclusively for the Carrier HVAC Branches
- OEM controls for third party manufacturers
The Regional Sales Manager will work closely with the regional account managers and/or technical consultant and will be supported by the Technical and training leader in Europe.
This regional sales lead is responsible for developing datacenters and partners in Germany across his region and maximizing the revenue through the three channels.
Expanding the dealer network to ensure high performing network of partner within the region that demonstrate a strong preference for WEBCTRL®.
The primary objective of the position is to develop and grow the company’s product sales throughout in the region. This position may reside in any major metropolis in the identified in Germany, as this position requires frequent travel across the region a homebased office is preferable but can be located in one of the Carrier offices. As part of the larger Carrier organization, we have the possibility to use local facilities as well.
The position reports to the Regional Sales Director for the region.
Job Responsibilities:
You will demonstrate excellent sales presentation skills as well as a thorough technical understanding of HVAC and building automation systems and controls contracting. This self-starter will work effectively with a wide range of administrative, sales, and account management responsibilities. You should have work history that demonstrates excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving aptitude. Extraordinary interpersonal skills and a high degree of personal integrity are ideal.
Requirements
- Travel as required within the region, including some international travel (Yearly global dealer meeting US and Quarterly European management meetings)
- Develop and maintain field office pipeline forecast.
- Identify new partners in Germany.
- Promote ALC to Data Centre End Users in Germany and Central Region.
- Work directly with Carrier HVAC Data Centre team in Germany to promote Carrier I-Vu
- Identify and promote standard methodologies across the region.
- Provide/participate in field office sales and product training.
- Provide account management (pricing strategy, conflict resolution, customer relations, etc.)
- Assume primary company and product demonstration role.
- Provide voice of customer for new product development
- Provide competitive and market specific feedback.
- Participate in industry meetings and exhibitions.
- Participate in in-house factory initiatives as needed (i.e. ACE Pilot, CRM tool, etc.)
- Reside in region.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to find new stakeholders in Data Centers and promote ALC.
- Developed Contacts in Data Centers and System Integrator Market
- Dedicated problem solver and leader.
- Excellent analytical, and computer technical skills
- Ability to develop constructive and collaborative working relationships across functional teams.
- Up to date on new technologies and applies new knowledge and techniques to the job
- Capable of working independently and comfortable making decisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum Diploma or bachelor’s degree. Preferred MBA by renowned university or internal managerial program or experience.
- 10 years + working in the European HVAC and BMS controls industry.
- Languages Skills German + English
- Flexibility regarding job duties
- Ability to handle several tasks at a time and deliver consistently.
- Use and familiarity with the following software packages: MS Office - Excel (pow, PowerPoint (power user), Word, SALESFORCE.COM etc.
