Key Account Manager

We are looking for a Key Account Manager/Sales Engineer for our Bursa facility. In this role you will consult with customers on coatings and applications and support local Distributor in the market development facilitating.

Your Responsibilities

  • Commercially manage the assigned accounts by proposing pricing strategy and preparing quotations with contractual terms and conditions within the boundaries of the company rules; give sales presentations, inform clients about innovations introduced by Metco, related to applications and processes; primary markets of assignment are aerospace, defense and energy.
  • Define and manage the sales budget and forecast per account and actively contribute to the achievement of the key country budget.
  • Identify and establish relationships with all the relevant decision makers per account, define the account business profile and key buying factors, develop, document and implement sales plans per account, in conjunction with sales manager and, where requested, with segment and product managers.
  • Consult with customers on coatings and applications, recommending products and services as necessary, help to develop new applications, analyse customer needs and technical specifications, manage sampling and demonstration activities where appropriate.
  • Support local Distributor in the general engineering market development facilitating the liaison and the communication with the Metco organization.
  • Permanently provide feedback from customers and market to appropriate departments within Oerlikon Metco, including competitive information and market pricing, ensuring the understanding of market trends.
  • Identify prospects and contact them with the target to acquire and develop them.
  • Attend trade shows, events and industry seminars, as necessary and in agreement with the direct managers.

Your Profile

  • Materials or mechanical bachelor’s degree.
  • Approx. 2 years of professional experience in a sales department (field work) in a similar environment
  • Knowledge of the thermal spray coating solutions/industry is a plus.
  • English (verbal and written)
  • PC-tools (MS-Office; SAP R3 a plus)
  • Driving licence
  • Willingness to travel
