About this job

For our Technology and Innovation Center in Aachen, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated HR Specialist (all genders) to support our team with administrative HR tasks to ensure smooth HR operations. For this key position, we are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented person who is used to working both independently and as part of a team.
The main focus of the role will be to manage our HR administration and our external payroll provider. You will be responsible for our HR tool Personio, where you will have a full overview of an employee's lifecycle, from recruiting and onboarding to offboarding.

Your responsibilities

Within this position...

  • You will be the contact person for our employees in all administrative personnel matters from recruiting and on-boarding to off-boarding.
  • You will take care of preparation and follow-up of payroll accounting in close cooperation with an external service provider.
  • You will prepare documents for operational HR work (contracts, references, certificates, etc.) as well as HR analyses.
  • You manage the physical and digital personnel files, maintain master data as well as vacation and time accounts (with Personio).
  • You supervise the applicant management including job advertisements and appointment coordination.
  • You will organize further education and training measures for our employees.
  • You will support in strategic HR projects (further development of HR processes, employee development, etc.).

Requirements

As our preferred candidate, you will have excellent communication skills, which you will use to build and maintain a close relationship of trust with all employees and managers. With a high level of accountability, reliability and discretion, you have a keen sense of how to use what information for the benefit of the company as a whole. In this way, you establish yourself as a key player in the company. You enjoy working with people and are enthusiastic about change and improvement in a fast-paced environment.
This job will suit you best if you...

  • have successfully completed vocational training as an industrial clerk or comparable and further training as a personnel clerk or comparable qualification.
  • bring at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in human resources.
  • have knowledge of labor, social security and wage tax law as a plus.
  • have very good written and spoken German and English skills.
  • have a structured, independent and very accurate way of working.
  • bring discretion and a high level of commitment.
  • already have experience with Personio or other HR tools.
  • know how to handle MS Office.
