Functional Safety Manager / Engineer (m/f/d)

Collaboration in the development of mechatronic steering systems
Understanding and analyzing complex relationships (mechanics, electronics, hydraulics, software, control engineering)
Implementation of hazard and risk analyzes in the area of functional safety using ISO 26262
Safety planning and creation of the functional and technical safety concept
Implementation of safety analyzes using FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA, etc.
Participation in and implementation of technical reviews
Takeover of research and development activities, e.g. in the field of hardware and software development or in connection with sensors, actuators
Advice to development engineers (in the areas of hardware and software) with regard to the design of controls and systems from the point of view of functional safety
Design of the system architecture of the safety system with subsequent detailing of the safety functions in hardware and software functions of the electronics as well as subsequent detailed implementation with internal and external development partners
Evaluation and expansion of development processes
Creation of requirements
Development of system components together with internal / external suppliers
Definition of requirements for system design (mechanics, electronics and software algorithm devel-opment) with internal / external teams
Development / construction & testing of new concepts on the test bench and in the vehicle

YOUR PROFILE

Successfully completed studies in electrical engineering, vehicle technology, mechatronics or a comparable subject
Mechatronic understanding at system level (system engineering)
Dedicated knowledge in the area of functional safety according to ISO 26262 Ed. 1/2 required
Knowledge of standards (ISO 61508, ISO 25119, ISO PAS 21448, ISO 16949, etc.) is desirable
Knowledge of ECE-R 79 and steering technology is desirable
Practical experience as a Functional Safety Engineer (ASIL C, D)
Knowledge in the field of security analysis
Dedicated norm competence / transfer performance in reality
Dedicated knowledge in the automotive sector is required
Knowledge in the field of commercial vehicle technology is desirable
Analytical, solution-oriented and independent way of working
Good German and English language sklills (wirtten and spoken)
Knowledge of how to use requirements management tools (Integrity, FMEA) is desirable
Knowledge of working with system architecture tools (Enterprise Architect, Cameo Systems Modeler, etc.) is desirable
Knowledge of working with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is desirable
High level of communication skills, customer orientation and the ability to work in a team
Willingness to travel
