SCHOTT Advanced Optics, with its deep technological expertise, is a valuable partner for its customers in developing products and customized solutions for applications in optics, lithography, astronomy, opto-electronics, architecture, life sciences, and research. With a product portfolio of more than 120 optical glasses, special materials and components, we master the value chain: from customized glass development to high-precision optical product finishing and metrology.
We are currently hiring for a produtction engineer in our production department.

Your Contribution

• Responsible to work with Rod Lens production team to meet all the KPIs (Throughput, yield, on time delivery, new products and improvement). Lead the engineering topic regarding Rod Lens production.
• Work with design engineering on DFX (design for excellence) to include design for cost, test, assembly and manufacturability. • Maintains specifications, taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

Your Profile

• Degree in Mechanical/Material/Manufacturing Engineering
• Strong knowledge in manufacturing of rod lens or optical parts. • Areas of manufacturing include grinding, lapping, polishing (pitch and machine), machining and interferometry and others optical measurements. • Relevant
