This role will focus on leading and managing sustainability certification initiatives, expanding international customer acquisition, and coordinating sustainability efforts across various stakeholders, particularly within the coffee supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sustainability Certification & Management:Lead sustainability certification initiatives as the Country Manager for Brazil and other certification countries, ensuring compliance with environmental and social standards, including coordination with Certification Bodies and stakeholders.
- Supervise the certificate validation for assigned 4C Units, including communication and coordination with the responsible Certification Bodies.
- Supporting the EUDR team in validating the applications for a no deforestation assessment and EUDR attestation, verification of geo data and provided Business Partner Map (BPM), communication and coordination with Managing Entities
- International Customer Acquisition & Stakeholder Engagement: Drive international customer acquisition efforts, develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships, and provide training, guidance, and support for certification and sustainability programs.
- Business Expansion & Strategic Development: Facilitate business expansion and development in Brazil by contributing to strategic planning and implementation of sustainability initiatives that align with broader organizational goals.
- Event Management: (IF APPLICABLE) Organize and facilitate high-level international events related to sustainability, representing the organization in international forums and conferences.
- Collaboration & System Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the sustainability system, including revising key documents, performing benchmarking activities, and supporting the training of system users.
Your profile
- Master’s degree in agricultural science, agronomy, economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in certification or environmental standards in the agricultural sector, with a focus on coffee supply chains.
- Proven experience managing sustainability projects and international customer acquisition.
- Knowledge of data analysis and relevant tools for certification processes.
- Proficiency in Portuguese and English; additional language skills (Spanish, French, or Vietnamese) are a plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, independent working style with a willingness to travel internationally.
