Wir suchen zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt eine engagierte Führungskraft (w/m/d) für den Bereich Rechnungswesen an der WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management. Neben der fachlichen und disziplinarischen Verantwortung für das Team gestalten Sie als aktiver Treiber (w/m/d) von Digitalisierungsvorhaben die Veränderungen und die Zukunft des Bereichs.
Ihre Aufgaben
- Fachliche und disziplinarische Führung des Finanzbuchhaltungsteams
- Sicherstellung einer ordnungsgemäßen Buchführung und reibungsloser Abläufe unter Einhaltung von Finanzstandards
- Verantwortung für die Erstellung von Monats-, Quartals- und Jahresabschlüssen nach HGB
- Steuerung externer Dienstleister (Legal, Tax, Wirtschaftsprüfer, Banken, etc.)
- Übernahme der Schnittstellenfunktion zum Business Controlling
- Weiterentwicklung und Optimierung der Buchhaltungs- und Reisekostenprozesse durch Digitalisierung
- Schulung des Teams in der Nutzung neuer digitaler Systeme
- Mitarbeit und Möglichkeiten zur Vertretung innerhalb des Teams
Ihr Profil
- Abgeschlossenes betriebswirtschaftliches Studium oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation wie z.B. Ausbildung zum Bilanzbuchhalter
- Mehrjährige, einschlägige Berufserfahrung, idealerweise mit Führungserfahrung
- Erfahrung in der Arbeit bei einer Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft von Vorteil
- Expertise in der Digitalisierung von Finanzprozessen, z.B. e-Rechnungen
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse in MS-Office
- Praktische Erfahrung mit MS Dynamics NAV / Business Central ist von Vorteil
- Strategisches Denken gepaart mit Hands-on-Mentalität und Erfahrung in operativen Abläufen in Accounting-Systemen
- Analytisches Denkvermögen und Problemlösungskompetenz
- Hohes Maß an Verantwortungsbewusstsein und die Fähigkeit, komplexe Aufgaben eigenständig zu steuern
- Stark ausgeprägte Kommunikations- und Führungsstärke, Teamorientierung, Innovationswille und Durchsetzungsvermögen
- Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse

General information
We are looking for a committed teamleader (f/m/d) for the accounting department to join immediately the finance department at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management. In addition to the technical and disciplinary responsibility for the team, you will shape the future changes within the department as an active driver (f/m/d) of digitalization projects.
Your mission
- Leading the financial accounting team
- Ensuring proper accounting and smooth processes in compliance with financial standards
- Responsibility for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with German accounting standard (HGB)
- Management of external service providers (legal, tax, auditors, banks, etc.)
- Shaping the interface function for business controlling
- Further development and optimization of accounting and travel expense processes through digitalization
- Training the team in the use of new digital systems
- Hands-on working with the team and being able to take over operational taskings
Your profile
- Successfully completed university degree in economics, accounting or a comparable qualification
- several yaers of relevant professional experience, ideally with leadership experience
- Experience working at an auditing firm is an advantage
- Expertise in the digitization of financial processes, e.g. e-invoicing
- Very good knowledge of MS Office
- Practical experience with MS Dynamics NAV / Business Central is an advantage
- Strategic thinking paired with a hands-on mentality and experience in operational processes in accounting systems
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- High level of sense of responsibility and the ability to manage complex tasks independently
- Strong communication and leadership skills, team orientation, willingness to innovate and assertiveness
- Very good knowledge of German and English
