Accounting Manager Market Central (m/w/d)

Tasks

• Maintains and ensures accurate accounting records for seven legal entities in Germany in accordance with US GAAP and statutory GAAP
• Beyond the several legal entities for Germany the Accounting Manager Market Central oversees the accounting activities performed by the accounting teams in Germany, Switzerland and Kazakhstan from a standard, compliance and quality perspective
• The Accounting Manager Market Central is the key coordinator of accounting and tax related questions and projects with Europe or Global accounting
• Actively engages in the month end and quarter end close processes in line with very narrow timelines
• Actively supports in quarterly tax calculation, Tax Forecast and Year End Tax Reporting for the German Tax Group
• Actively supports budget and forecasting activities in coordination with the P&A group
• People management of the German accounting team in Monheim
• Acting as the primary liaison with internal and external auditors, tax authorities and other authorities both for Germany and Market Central
• Active member of the Finance Leadership Team of Market Central
• Monitors and analyzes functional work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Hands on supports other functions and divisions with administrative and finance related topics and making sure that business operates as effective and efficient as possible
• Support in Finance projects for Market Central to improve processes

Your profile

• University degree in Finance or Accounting required
• Profound Finance background based on Finance university degree
• Experience in the national corporate tax law
• Experience of working in a commercial background within a large or multinational business
• Strong systems / processes background
• Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills
• Proactive, analytical, logical and disciplined approach to problem solving
• Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised on own initiative
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to converse at all levels
• Fluent English language skills - both verbal and written (additional language knowledge beneficial)
• Flexibility, as the job may require travel and additional working hours
• Proficient with using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
